Luxe Fashion: Python Print Sandal Look for Less

I saw these python leather sandals while shopping at our local Calypso boutique a few weeks ago.  I'm a sucker for a great neutral sandal, and love a good animal print!  They are a beautiful leather, but the $300 price tag is a little tough to swallow for a sandal that I probably won't be throwing on everyday (read: they're no Tieks).

But then while perusing the plethora of sandals on Piperlime, I stumbled upon a great look for less! Synthetic they may be, but they still accomplish the same look for a WHOLE lot less!

Luxe Decor: Christin's Master Bedroom Mood Board

Ever since we moved into the new house, my biggest design challenge has been our master bedroom.  Partly, because the expense of all the large pieces we needed, but also my inability to commit to pattern or color.  We've needed a new headboard since we purchased a king size bed...all along I've been thinking a custom one with a patterned fabric.  While I've found fabrics I like, I feared they didn't have longevity and I would grow tired of it quickly.  This factor has held up any progress in this room...until I decided to forgo the pattern, go with my gut, and stick with neutral.  This may not be a huge departure for me, but it will flow nicely with the rest of our house and will give me flexibility to switch thing up with my ever changing mind!
The Concept
I already own a vintage, white lacquered faux bamboo dresser, pair of natural coral lamps, a gilded sunburst mirror and a vintage brass lamp with black shade, all of which I plan to use.  I just got a pair of mirrored chests that will serve as bedside tables.  And I'm waiting on a pair of custom leopard x benches that will go at the foot of our bed.  Our custom tufted headboard with contrasting black piping is currently being made.  The Hermes blanket is on my "wish list"...we'll see....

Luxe Lifestyle: Favorite New Purchase: Chanel Espadrilles

Remember our love for Chanel Espadrilles?  And remember how we said they were nowhere to be found!  Seriously...we went to 2 Chanel boutiques, a couple Neiman Marcus stores and at least 3 Sak's.  Nothing!  I started to think I was going to actually go to Paris to get these sought after shoes.  On a whim, I left my info with one of the Chanel stores...never thinking I would actually hear from them, considering the high demand.  So you can imagine my surprise when they actually called!.."Here's my credit card info.  I'll be right in!"
Just in time for my Europe vacation...and now I don't have to spend the extra money to buy them in Euros!

Luxe Lifestyle: Real Estate

Last week, I posted the exciting news that we were listing our home for sale.  Well, in just over a week's time, things have gotten pretty real.  And though nothing is for certain yet, we are possibly getting close to some big changes.  Before now, I've tried not to become too serious about the next home.  I didn't want to get emotionally invested in a place before I knew we were moving for sure.  And I still get sad when I think about moving from our current home!  But as we start an inital search, it is reassuring to know that there is an abundance of great homes to choose from.  Do we go Key West, Bermuda or Mediterranean style?? So many amazing homes in our area with some amazing architectual details! Pecky cyprus ceilings, expansive balconies, lush bougainvillea trellises, and courtyard pools. Now if we could just combine them all for the perfect house!

Some pics from the homes for sale I've stumbled upon in my search:
