Luxe Decor: French Gilded Chair Before & After

A few months back my husband picked up this adorable petite gilded French armchair at a local consignment shop for a total steal.  He said, "We can put in our (future) daughters room one day."  Awwwwww!! 

And kudos to him for having such a good eye!

BEFORE

We just got it back from the upholsterer and couldn't be happier with the results!  I love the combination a more modern, graphic, bold fabric with the traditional French antique frame and silhouette.

I've always loved the classic, timeless form of French chairs.  Whether a Louis XIV, XV or XVI...Bergere or parlor chairs, they add such a sophistication to home decor.  And they're especially amazing when updated with fun fabrics and current applications!
