Luxe Decor: Dining Room Redo

Remember when I talked about my love for black grasscloth?  Well, I recently got a great deal on some rolls that I couldn't pass up...So I'm making the commitment!  The grasscloth will give luxe and sophistication and the black will give it an edge.  Pair it with white lacquer furniture and pops of gild and brass and I think it's going to make quite an impact!  I'm toying around with different fabrics...black & white cabana stripe, leopard, solid coral...We'll see...?!!

Luxe Decor: Gray Malin Photograph

Remember when we posted about the fabulous work of Gray Malin?!  Well he held a "La Dolce Vita" contest on Instagram and would you believe, I won a piece?!!  After winning, I was given the opportunity to choose a piece from his collection of photographs he shot of the incredible beaches of Italy. Given the fact that I was in Positano the same exact time be was shooting, it was only fitting to choose one of Positano's beach.  After framing and matting, I'm thrilled how is turned out!  It looks great in my dressing room!  Not only is Gray Malin's work amazing, but it brings back so many wonderful, personal memories!  Thank you Gray!

Luxe Decor: Slim Aaron's Gallery Wall

My guest room has really taken a back seat in the progress of our house in the past year. I have so many ideas and good intentions of pulling it together but other things just keep taking priority. 

I figured I had to start somewhere, so I recently framed a few fabulous Slim Aaron photographs and put together a gallery wall. We live in paradise (here in South Florida), afterall, so I think it's nice for house guests to be reminded of the beautiful Palm Beach surroundings as well as other exotic locations.

Luxe Lifestyle: Favorite New Purchase: Vintage Marble Ashtray

I'm loving the large Mid Century striped marble ashtray I recently picked at a local antique store.  I'll never use it for its intended purpose, but it's perfect to hold our tv remotes!

Luxe Decor: French Gilded Chair Before & After

A few months back my husband picked up this adorable petite gilded French armchair at a local consignment shop for a total steal.  He said, "We can put in our (future) daughters room one day."  Awwwwww!! 

And kudos to him for having such a good eye!

We just got it back from the upholsterer and couldn't be happier with the results!  I love the combination a more modern, graphic, bold fabric with the traditional French antique frame and silhouette.
