Luxe Lifestyle: Favorite New Purchase

If you've been a follower of the blog, you know we love using pierced white lanterns in our designs (see how we use them here, here and here).  I already have some of the smaller lanterns by Two's Company in my house, but have been eyeing the taller versions at Z Gallerie for some time now.

So, I was pleasantly surprised when I popped into HomeGoods the other day and found a pair of tall lanterns! The large scale is perfect for atop my armoire!

Like the rest of the country, we are off to a hot and humid summer in Palm Beach.  Lounging poolside is a weekend staple around here, and I love waking up, putting on my bathing suit, and floating around all day.  Because when it is this hot (and you're seven months pregnant), what else can one do?? 

Last year, my husband and I made quite possibly our most valuable investment yet.  We decided to dig up the grass in our postage stamp-sized "backyard" and make the most of the space.

And voila. Our personal piece of paradise.

Did I mention good investment?

Freddy approves.

We enjoy our outdoor living all day well into the evening when we can light our lanterns and have dinner and cocktails poolside.
