This week's favorite new purchase comes courtesy of one of our favorite vintage stops, Palm Beach Regency, and Palm Beach regency my new purchase is!   Last week I scooped up a pair of vintage brass palm tree candlesticks.  A tradional candlestick base with a palm frond top,  a perfect regency accessory for my coffee table.

Luxe Lifestyle: Favorite New Purchase: Pagoda Etagere

Ok, so a bit of a technicality.  This week's Favorite New Purchase isn't exactly a new purchase, but it is newly refinished. 

 

A few months ago (err, maybe it's been a year? where has the time gone?!) I had purchased a rattan pagoda etagere from Palm Beach Home Collection to be used in our home office.  But it didn't take long before the office became Hank's nursery! Storage is such a necessity no matter how much you've mastered non-hoarding skills.  Mine as well make storage beautiful with super chic chinoiserie-inspired shelving!

So my etagere sat in our garage until this past weekend when motivation struck to give it a good lacquer finish and bring it back inside.

 
 

 I love how the etagere turned out! Though sometimes acessorizing can be a daunting task...but beautiful coral does the trick!

Luxe Decor: Lucky Elephants

If you've been following the blog for some time, you may have noticed that we have a thing or two for lucky elephants!

 

This Z Gallerie elephant recently made its way into our master bedroom.

 

Christin and I both use elephant garden seats in our outdoor spaces.

Designing The New Digs: Palm Leaf Chandelier

Back in June I posted about this incredible vintage Palm Leaf Chandelier I purchased at Palm Beach Regency.

  When I first saw it I knew I had to have it for our "new house"...Mind you, we hadn't even started looking at houses at this point...But I was sure, regardless of where we ended up, this chandelier would look amazing in our dining room! Boy was I right!

The scale, detail and gilded patina is by far the best I've seen.  No regrets here.

Designing the New Digs: The Fireplace

We are thrilled to have a fire place in our new house!  Being South Florida, it might not get a ton of use, but it's a design aesthetic I've always wanted.  The mantel is original to the house and has great carved detail.  I'm really looking forward to making the fireplace the focal point of our living room.  There are so many different directions you can go and it's been fun checking out inspiration.

There are a pair of existing sconces over the mantel that I would like to replace.

I happen to love these unique vintage ones at Palm Beach Regency:

But part of me loves the formality of these greek key sconces (Perhaps with a drum shade to make them a little less traditional?)

I think my large clam shell could look really great placed in the hearth and filled with coral.
