Luxe Lifestyle: Favorite New Purchase: Herringbone Shower Curtain

Remember my favorite new purchases from the Serena & Lily sale a couple of weeks ago?

This navy herringbone patterned shower curtain was one of the purchases, and I'm really loving the change it brings to my guest bathroom! This bathroom is BIG, like ridiculous, unnecessary big. And I've always struggled with how to fill all of the open space. I've discussed in past posts my desire to do a custom shower curtain in this bathroom because I thought that would help the space by bringing in some bold color and pattern.  But as it goes, I was having a hard time committing to any one color direction.  This curtain is perfect for the time being, tying in all with all my other blues. And you really can't go wrong with a timeless herringbone pattern!

And have you seen their new wallpaper line? Loving that this pattern is included. Especially in the bone color.

Luxe Lifestyle: Favorite New Purchase(s): Serena & Lily Sale

Did you happen to snag up any goodies during Serena & Lily's summer flash sale last week? Love their sales, some really deep discounts to be had! Plus the sale gave me good reasons to purchase a couple of items I had been on the fence about.

This round, rattan coffee table caught my eye a couple of months ago when it first came out.  I had recently scored some new outdoor furniture including a set of 4 club chairs at a vintage shop.  And as I have been waiting while the furniture is repainted and the cushions recovered, I have kept this table in the back of mind, knowing it would be perfect for between the 4 club chairs I found.  I was thrilled to see it included in the sale!

I also snagged this navy, herringbone patterned shower curtain for our guest bathroom.  I've been going back and forth on doing a custom shower curtain, but figured at 50% off, this would be a great alternative to hang in the meantime. And I think it will look pretty fab on my Lucite shower rod!

My purchases are due in this week. Stay tuned for photos!

Luxe Decor: Stevie's Nursery

Back in September, I shared with you the completion of baby Hank's nursery.  About three months after Hank's arrival, one of our very best friends, Carrie, gave birth to a little girl, Stevie Lee.  Hank was especially thrilled about her arrival!

Hank & Stevie. I wasn't kidding.

Carrie very much shares our design asthetic, and we took a similar approach in our nurseries:  crisp white walls, statement artwork over the crib, a sheepskin rug for coziness, and acrylic shelving for modern functionality.  We are delighted to share some images that were recently taken of her nursery and this beautiful new family of three!

The Nursery Diaries Part Five: Bedding and Fabric Choices & A Winner

I've always been a fan of Serena & Lily, but before now never paid much attention to their baby bedding.  When I clicked to view their crib sheets, I actually thought for a moment that I was still looking at their regular bedding! I couldn't believe all of the great choices! Soft colors and chic geometric patterns.  If I wasn't such a fanatic for all white bedding, I might even go for these sheets for myself!

I couldn't decide so I sprung for two different sheets, which I figured I could interchange as I pleased (or as needed depending on just how messy Baby K is!).

I die for the crabs!!! I love how they are patterned and I feel they add just the right amount of "baby" to the room!

After ordering a few different crib bumpers, I decided that the price of Serena & Lily's basic white crib bumper was well worth it. It fits the best in the crib, with the ties easily and evenly distributed on the crib rails.  I also love that it doesn't have such a segmented look, which I found with a lot of the less expensive bumpers.

There are so many great fabric choices out there that I always have a tough time deciding exactly what to go with no matter what room I'm decorating.  Combined with the sheets, I wanted to incoporate a couple other bold prints, bringing in more navy and aqua blues.

I found the solid aqua fabric in the remnant bin from MAC Fabrics in West Palm Beach for quite a steal!  The other fabrics are from Spoonflower.  I love the combination of the bold graphic print and the softer turquoise, bohemian block print.
