Luxe Decor: Christin's House Before and Afters

So it's been one year since we first saw (and fell in love with) our house.  Looking back over the past year has left me nostalgic for that exciting time when we started the house hunt, finally found our dream house and went under contract, had our closing date, made the move and started setting up home!  

The moment we found the house, I started my "inspiration binder".  This included before photos, floor plans, dimensions, inspiration photos and wish lists for new pieces.  I just recently looked through it again and was reminded of what incredible progress we've made in just a year!  While I still have a running list of more things I want to accomplish, it's good to put it into perspective and recognize how far we've come in a relatively short amount of time.

Luxe Fashion: Look for Less: Olivia Palermo's Cuff

Olivia Palermo is constantly on my radar...for so many reasons.  Hello amazing hair, the best street style, and major model boyfriend.  Whenever I see pictures of her, I find that I'm constantly dissecting each photo, studying the way she so effortlessly puts together her entire outfit. I'm not sure anyone layers colors, prints, textures and baubles quite like she does! And one thing I've noticed that is practically a constant staple accessory for her, is the gold, woven link cuff she wears on her

right hand. (stalker status.)

When this woven cuff popped up on my Pinterest feed, it immediately reminded of OP's cuff! I'm not sure who designs the cuff she wears, but I'm thinking we can be certain that Bauble Bar's version is much less! I'm making this my new go-to cuff for fall!

Tea, anyone?  How cute is this ceramic clam shell and coral tea set I got at Homegoods!  While it's not something I'll use often, it sure will be nice to have when I need it. And for a total of under $20, guess who's Homegoods happy?!

Luxe Lifestyle: Favorite New Purchase: Herringbone Shower Curtain

Remember my favorite new purchases from the Serena & Lily sale a couple of weeks ago?

 

This navy herringbone patterned shower curtain was one of the purchases, and I'm really loving the change it brings to my guest bathroom! This bathroom is BIG, like ridiculous, unnecessary big. And I've always struggled with how to fill all of the open space. I've discussed in past posts my desire to do a custom shower curtain in this bathroom because I thought that would help the space by bringing in some bold color and pattern.  But as it goes, I was having a hard time committing to any one color direction.  This curtain is perfect for the time being, tying in all with all my other blues. And you really can't go wrong with a timeless herringbone pattern!

 

And have you seen their new wallpaper line? Loving that this pattern is included. Especially in the bone color.
