The Nursery Diaries Part Nine: Luxe Baby Books

If there is one decor accessory that can always find a place in our homes, it is a great coffee table book! We love piling them high on our cocktail and console tables, and adorning the tops of them with orchids, trinket trays or pieces of coral.  Large coffee table books are such a great way to add color and height to a surface, I figured accessorizing the nursery should be no different!

It doesn't get better than a stack of the Dr. Suess classics...unless they're Dr. Suess Classics en Francais!

Taschen Publishing produces iconic coffe table books such as the Great Escapes series and city travel guides.  I'm loving the purple, whimsical cover on The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm for a girl's nursery.

When I saw this reedition of the vintage Mother Goose book by Gyo Fujikawa, I knew it was a must-have simply because of the binding! The vibrant orange binding is imprinted in gold foil lettering, and its large size makes it perfect to stack smaller books on top.

These books are large in scale, and have the most beautiful silver, gilded pages.  The Classic Storybook Collection contains over 250 beautiful pieces of vintage art which you could cut out and frame for a nursery!

Another series of classic books that provide lots of color and a large scale.

I received this board book from my dear friend Carrie at my shower.  Sterling Publishing's Hello, America series teaches children about various cities and states, and is a fun way to display where you live!

VINTAGE FINDS

A set of 17 Hardy Boys mysteries in beautiful tweed bindings.
Or a stack of pink mysteries for a girl!

If you need to add a rainbow of colors...
Or if you plan on having a little history buff, these vintage gold encyclopedias are chic for any nursery!

IN MY NURSERY

A stack of large books with colorful bindings including the Curious George Series and Mother Goose by Gyo Fujikawa.

Three of the Disney Storybook Collections.  A vintage Cinderella print in the Classic Storybook and an image of the beautiful gilded pages.

A colorful vintage set on my lucite shelves including classics like Treasure Island, King Arthur and His Knights, and Davy Crockett.
